1.  We are off to Condi tomorrow. Looking forward to a great day! Remember to dress in layers.
2. Cardboard Challenge is set for Oct. 25th. Kids are welcome to start bring cardboard Monday, Oct. 22nd. Parents are welcome for part of the day or the whole day to help bring creations to life.
3. Friday is our smudge.

1. We are working on our reading endurance. Being able to sit in one spot, quietly, reading the whole time without being distracted. We are working towards a class goal of 20 minutes. We've reached 10 minutes in both French and English.
2. Children are coming home with their log-in information for prodigy math. This is an online math learning tool. The students are very excited to get playing.
3. Scholastic orders are due Monday. Please place your order online.

1. Tomorrow is fake Friday! Please wear your pjs and bring a flashlight.

3. White recorders for February. Our music teacher Mme Studlin would like the class to have white (soprano) recorders for February. If you do not have one, you may purchase one through the cash online. Please write their names on both the recorder and the cover.

1. I hope everyone was able to open the photos from Friday. What a great trip we had!
2. Gr. 3s can start practicing their additions facts. We will be adding and subtracting up to 3 digit numbers.
3. Gr. 4s can start practicing their multiplication facts. We will be learning strategies for multiplication up to 9x9.

Welcome back!!

1. Consent and waiver forms for our field trip went home today. Please return them by Wednesday, Jan. 17th and make your $4.50 payment on line.
2. Scholastics went home yesterday. Please return by Tuesday, Jan. 16th.
3. Some grade 3 students have math homework, pages 72 & 73. If not able to complete tonight, please return the work tomorrow.

1. Thank you to all the parents who attended the parent/student/teacher conferences. I appreciate having open communication with parents to help bring out the best in the students.
2. Thursday, Nov. 30th we will have a math test.
3. Many grade 3 students have math to finish up. Please return it to school tomorrow even if they have not completed the work. Students may take it home again tomorrow.
4. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered Thursday for Agribition. The students had a great day and without those parents it would not have been possible. Thanks again!! (pictures to follow shortly)

1. We had a lovely remembrance day service. The students were attentive and respectful. The choir sang beautifully and we all reflected on how lucky we feel to be living in a peaceful country.
2. This afternoon we went outside for phys. ed. What a great time everyone had playing and sledding.
3. Math, gr.4 upcoming subtraction of 3 and 4 digit numbers along with estimation. Gr. 3 skip counting by 5, 10, 25, 100, counting money and in preparation for multiplication - skip counting by 3s and 4s.
4. Enjoy the long weekend! Monday is a holiday.

1. Tomorrow at 10:45 we will have a remembrance day service. Parents are welcome. Students will receive a poppy. Donations for the poppy graciously accepted. 
2. Today we had our CREATE artist visit. The students worked on presenting sketches with an object in French.
3. Many students shared stories about great-grandparents involved in the armed forces, including Mme Potter.
4. Grade 3 students can practice skip counting and counting money.
5. Grade 4 students are working on addition of 4 digit numbers.
6. No School Monday, November 13th.

1. November Scholastics went home today. Please return by Wednesday, Nov. 1st.
2. Prodigy Math - Today we learned how to use the computers. How to sign in, find Mme Potter's blog and use the side bar links. One of the links we looked at in particular was Prodigy math. Each student has a log-in and a paper log-in went home today. Parents can link to their child's account to see their progress.
3. Radio Canada - was another site the student enjoyed looking at as they can watch shows in French at their level and interest.
4. Hope to see you tonight at the Ball.

3. A lunchroom and other forms were sent home today. Please have a look at the pages and return them as soon as possible.
4. Scholastics accepted until Tuesday, Oct. 17th
5. Today we learned about three ways animals help disperse seeds. We also learned about titles, sub-titles and text features (like photos). Ask your child if they remember the 3 ways animals disperse seeds.
